I think it's because she had a squint/lazy eye, the last thing I heard thou is that she got it surgically corrected!

she has a lazy eye and if she isnt weaing the patch 2 cover it she wears sunglasses and has also been known 2 have her hair styled 2 cover her eye!!

when she started out she had a lazy eye. although her eye is now fine the eye patch became her trademark

because she has a lazy eye.It looks abit crossed eyed.but im sure she has had surgery to correct it and the patch is more of a gimick.
