Question about self defense!?

today while i was in the walmart shopping center I was confronted by a man. He started telling me to get in his car and all and i just kept walking but it was really scary! I'm a petite 17 year old girl so its not like I would have been able to fight off this huge man. Well my question is does anyone know where I can purchase pepper spray? Its legal in the state I live in but im not sure where I can purchase it. Maybe the sporting goods section at walmart? thanks guys please answer! thanks in advance =]

Maybe at Walmart, probably at a local gun shop (they carry other things to defend yourself with besides firearms). Whatever you do, fight and scream as much as you can if you are ever in the situation again!

I suspect that Walmart and many other places would sell it. Looking in the yellow pages under security might find some places. Many sporting goods places sell it.

I hope that you reported this incident to the police so that the person can be stopped. Even though nothing happened, the next person might not be so lucky.

Also, be careful when going someplace. Be aware of your surrounding and the various people there. If you are concerned by a person lurking around, ask security to walk you to your vehicle.

I would also suggest looking into self defense classes. Size is not everything and you would be surprised what a small person can do to a larger person. Training is important, even with pepper spray, as you don't want to spray yourself and make things worse.

Don't listen to cutiepie8 and get a knife. Get the pepper spray like the first guy mentioned. If you carry a knife and are overpowered or don't know how to use it, how are you going to feel when the man takes it from you and uses it against you?

Try a uniform supply shop, I don't know if it's legal to purchase it though. Some states don't let people buy the stuff. Kick the guy in the nuts next time he bothers you and run.

oh my lord do you live in illinois cuz a few yrs ago i saw some men that look very suspicious at a walmart. be very careful of walmarts, its been on the news criminals like to look for victims there. i suggestr looking into a shocking device=where u can get waway without harming anyone.

Yeah, you could probably either find it in wal-mart or maybe a walgreens or something. If you had the pepper spray would you have sprayed it in his eyeballs and laughed at him or what?

pepper spray I don't think will do the job you are better off carrying a small knife to stick in their eye or somewhere on their body, I have a knife that is in a lipstick case and I brought it at my local flea market, you should always have some sort of protection on you when you are especially out alone in this sick world.

You dont need pepper spray, because it doesn't always work.

You need martial arts. Jeet Kune Do, Jui Jitsu, Muay Thai, Weapon fighting.
