If you want to be able to throw it around, and drop it, spill stuff on it and generally abuse it, the DS. if you want something small, light and more portable, then the DS lite... but game play is virtually identical on them, so no comparison there!

Nintendo DS lite though these may be a more expensive. The screen is brighter and the shape is more compact. It's hard wearing, strong and possibly longer lasting than the DS. Also you have the choice of colour as DS is silver while DS lite you've got blue, black, white and pink. Though the games make no difference some of the accessories may e.g. cases and skins. Like anything the older one will properly become out of fashion and fewer shops will stock it over the DS lite.

I'd pick the DS Lite only because of its slimmer design...and you overall don't look like a complete geek gaming on one of them...the normal one on the other hand...well it leaves something to desire in comparison to the lite, however the DS an the DS Lite do have near identical gameplay.

Personally i prefer normal ds, simply because of the layout of the buttons. Because i dont like the start button on the DS lite, its too small.

lite because its really dark on the regular and really lite on the lite 1 and nintendo ds lite looks newer lol

ds lite. more expensive but better, lighter and a more powerfull light. (basiclly an upgraded version of the normal ds)

DS Lite because it smaller liter in brightness and smaller and more compact and a bigger screen and it costs the same
