No, I talked to my doctor, and pharmacist about taking Tylenol PM, cause I was getting some very bad head aches. They said the tylenol was ok, as long as I only took it rarely and at the recommended dosage, but to avoid the PM which is basically benedryl to make you drowsy. You should do what I did and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions about what medications are ok to take or not.

No it is not okay, the only thing you should be taking right now are vitamins that contain folic acid to assure your baby grows inside you at a normal, healthy rate. Everything you put into your body right now gets absorbed into your uterine wall, into the umbilical cord and straight into your babies body! Please do not take any medications while you're pregnant and speak with your OBGYN immediately. Just think to yourself, would I give this to my newborn? If the answer is no, then duplicate that answer 100 times about your unborn.

It's not ok to take ANYTHING every day for insomnia, whether you're pregnant or not.
You need to see a doctor to figure out the cause of your insomnia, and find a suitable treatment.
Cut all caffeine out of your diet, practice stress-release exercises, don't watch TV before bed, etc.

Benadryl is a safe drug to use during pregnancy. But I would consider natural alternatives too, if possible. Not herbal remedies though, but things like beach sounds or a small fountain in your bedroom.

I don't think it is a good idea. My OB told me I couldn't take it at all during the first trimester. I would think that it wouldn't be a good idea to take anything like that everyday. Ask your doc though

Why would you take Benedryl for sleep. Take Tylenol PM or Simply Sleep by tylenol. You don't want to put medicine from Benedryl if you don't have to.
