Go by BEDMAS- brackets, exponents, division, multiplication, addition, and subtraction. In your calculator, it would go in this order:
1) brackets
2) exponents
3) multiplication
4) addition
Just remember BEDMAS and you'll do fine in math which requires those operations.

Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally is a great device to remember PEMDAS
i have always heard of it as PEMDAS (parenthesis rather than brackets) but either is ok

Parenthesis/brackets always first
Exponents next
Multiplication/division (doesnt matter which is first)
addition/subtraction (doesnt matter which is first)
