IN THE NEWS REPORT
one neighbor was outside discussing with another neighbor the white truck and it's description, when 2 officers showed up, (which was to give the other warrent). The two officers were stopped by these people....read...."""Mave, 27, said Hadler, was outside near the truck Thursday evening, talking to a neighbor, "wondering what we should do, and that's when the Kirkwood police showed up. Geoff talked to the officers and said, 'Are you here about this?'"""
SO, this man Geoff pointed out the truck to these officers, they did not notice it on their own. I guess it doesn't really matter in the end, BUT, these people Geoff and Mave are the real heroes that made the difference in the ending of this situation.

Who knows what is really the truth? There are 3 sides to every story. Many people are trying to get their "15 minutes" out of this situation. Why didn't Geoff and Mave call 9-1-1 instead of taking pictures of the truck and why didn't Devlin's co-workers? What about the adults who admitted on TV that they joked with "Sean Devlin" about looking like Shawn Hornbeck. There is a lot of blame and credit to go around. As you said, it doesn't matter in the end. The real hero is Ben's friend Mitchell who described the truck to police.

I also have not heard those two names. I do know what you are talking about, and have been watching the news all day, and still have never heard of anyone other than the two policemen being the ones to discover the truck. I believe the boy who initially saw the truck and gave the description needs a pat on the back also. Without his description, no telling when or if those boys would have been found.

"ricnnl" may not have a clue, but it's strange that she would admit it & I'm not sure if her use of "we" is collective or Royal.

I do agree with you that "Geoff & Mave" are the true heros in this case. To show how little credit they have been given, unlike ricnnl I'm very aware of the case & this is the first time I've heard their names. Thank you. I just hope the boys are going to be ok. I'm obviously more concerned for the older boy, but we will have to hope for the best.
