Has anyone been to the Mill Rose Inn in Half Moon Bay? What did you think of it?

Mill Rose Inn is one of the finest bed and breakfasts in California. The decor is very old-world, which captures an almost "homey" feel. It's small and personable, with excellent service. A great location for a romantic weekend getaway or even a honeymoon.

I used to do a lot of weekend trips out of Los Angeles, when I needed a break from the traffic and smog. Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz is a really nice destination.

The bed was really comfortable; I think they used down feather comforters. We also had a package that included complimentary movies that we could view right our suite.

The spa was very relaxing and the personnel pay close attention to every detail. Breakfast was top notch. I recommend the crepes and champagne. After all, it was a vacation, why not indulge?! :)

We stayed in the Burgundy Rose Suite, which I thought especially nice because of the vaulted ceiling and in-room fireplace. I don't know if all the rooms have these features.

All in all, I think this B&B lives up to its reputation. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
