In a perfect world you should never even notice that a referee is on the pitch. Every decision should be correct and assistant referees should help out with the decisions that a referee cannot make on his own.
Of course its not like that and with the game played in the Premiership at such a rate that decisions have to be made in split seconds, you can't always be in the best position to view it, every player is trying to make the referees decision as hard as possible and the referee is HUMAN its no wonder they make errors.
Most fans don't even know the exact rules they just absorb their knowledge from TV commentary and half time analysis coupled with all fans being biased so every 50/50 decision was in their minds given the wrong way.
Saying that, how on earth Graham Poll could dish out 3 yellows in a world cup match is beyond belief!

Graham Poll had a poor game on Saturday.he failed to protect Tevez, resulting in his departure, was unnecessarily harsh with Zamora, added on too many minutes at the end and allowed a goal that resulted from a clear foul.Whether or not he is the worst referee ,I do not know-Saturday simply points to him not being the best.I like Rob Styles because at least he is indiscriminate when he makes errors-many other refs rarely make errors to the detriment of the "big 4".The best referees are the ones that go unnoticed-hence the higher the profile, the worst the referee.

the classic of refereeing in British football has been declining for numerous years and could proceed to succeed in this. video games must be determined with information from the gamers not undesirable judgements. The ruling bodies ought to arise with a much better way of sanctioning undesirable officials and convalescing the classic. specialist referees and digital aids are lengthy late. How are the gamers meant to appreciate the referees if the refs do not do their jobs precise or attempt to be celebrities.

Graham Poll. I met him once at a referees conference and the arrogance of the man is beyond belief-His theory is very simple as is most of the referees at senior level, "even when you get it wrong, just look as if you know you are right "and remember to smile. BTW Howard Webb is an excellent referee. I have now given up being a referee as the top referees caused me so much trouble on a sat, as they allowed players to dive and tell them to F off and players in Sat morning thought they could get a way with it and give me hell when I booked or sent them off.

The one that refereed Sheffield United and Pompey yesterday.
Can't remember his name.
It was his first premiership game, and should be his last judging by that performance.
