The action scenes were cool but I didn't really care for the plot. I kept comparing the cartoon to the movie. Especially when Jean became the Phoenix. It seemed like the movie was rushed.

I thought it was utter tosh, basically.

I was so excited to see Phoenix (especially since we had an ominous hint of what she might be at the end of X2) but instead she turned out to just be a moody, hormonal brat who never got a grip on her powers. Just dull. She just wasn't this creature of awesome power that we knew her to be in the comics and Nineties' cartoon.

Cyclops was just non-existant (when will the film producers realise that he's not a non-entity but an important part of the X-Men team and a major character), Rogue was once again a vulnerable little child instead of a fiery, strong woman and there was too much focus on Wolverine rather than the team acting as one.

I also hated how everyone was killed off at the end. What was the point in that?

Thankfully, Ian McKellen was on hand to pull the film up slightly but even he couldn't save it from descending into utter drivel.

i agree. they made rogue a big old baby, in my opinion. neither the plot nor most of the characters seemed to go with the cartoon/comic. Poor storm, all she did in the movie was state the obvious. also, i wasn't impressed with the direction they took jean grey/phoenix. the phoenix wouldn't have gone to magento. at least i didn't feel that was very character consistent. a+ for sfx though!

The movie was ok, but it just wasn't the same without Brian Singer's direction. The tail end of the movie after the credits made me jump out of my seat.

Was very very sucky-ish. There is someone talking about XMen4. I hope so. They need to redo this last mistake. Could have been better. LOTS better. Left so many unanswered questions.

My biggest problem was with the mythology. Juggernaut was never a mutant. Stay with the storyline.
