my first time playing football was my junior year of high school. i was about 5'9 175 then so i played db although i had always wanted to be a rb. my family bounced around a lot all my life so for the most part all i could do was dream. to say the least db didnt fair well for me, i wasnt fast enough. the off-season came and i started working out and hit my final growth spurt and came back 8 months later 6'0 225. a new coach let me play rb in my senior yr and in 10 games i had 1200 total yds. granted in some of these games against super scrub teams our coach experimented, letting me spread out and play wr so i had receiving yds. but neway, college time came around and i chose to go to nc a+t, but due to some stupid mistakes i made i never got to suit up. im 23 now, 6'1 still carrying around 225. 4'6-40 time. is it too late to go for my dream of playing college ball and seeing what happens from there? is it worth me goin back in the gym and giving it another shot? basically am i 2 old?

You are never to old to pursue your dream. I played baseball in college, yet did not make my grades and left school. Too much partying. Ask yourself this question: Would you rather be asking yourself if you can play college ball at 23 years old or 33? You are still young. Learn from your past mistakes, work hard and reach your goal of playing college football. It will make you a better person in the present and for the rest of your life. JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

In 2000, Chris Wenke won the Heisman Trophy as a 28 year old senior. He beat out Drew Brees and LaDanian Thomlinson. He was out for several years playing baseball but did not give up. As a result, he was a very mature player and, I believe, broke some Florida State passing records.

He may not be starting, but he is still in the NFL making backup QB money. If you can, do it.

If that is your dream, you should definitely go for it. You need to understand that it is going to be harder because you are older but if you are really dedicated to doing this, go for it with everything you've got.
