A character analysis is a description of a fictional character in a short story, novel, or play.
Think about these questions:
How old is this character? What does the character look like? Is there something unusual about his or her appearance? How does she or he behave, and why? Does this character affect the plot or outcome of the story? Does he or she change or learn something during the story? How does s/he relate to other characters in the story?
I had a teacher who asked, "What do you think this character will be doing after the story ends?" This is a good way to see if you really understand the character. Unless, of course, they die during the story. In which case, think about how, when, and why they died. Did that affect the story?
Good luck with your assignment.

A character analysis is the same as a book analysis. You basically just write about the the character and their qualities, and events/conflicts they face.

Think about why they character you pick does things. From experience, don't pick a main character, everybody will do them so your teacher will get bored with those , and there is way too much to write about. If you pick a minor character (but not one so small that he/she only has like one line) pick some of their most important decisions, actions, etc... Why did he/she do that? How did the characters history, childhood, past life influence this decision or action? good luck!

A character analysis is:
How old is he/her?
what does he wear?
what does he do?
what does he like?
where does he live?
what is his environment like?
Favorite color?
Favorite food?
Favorite music?
What do other character's say/think about him?
What does he say about himself?
Is he powerful or weak in society?
Is he soft spoken or loud?
Do his clothes prevent/strain mobility?
Any other questions you can think of will analyze a chacracter's life. It will help you create his gesture, speech, walk, facial ticks, costuming, hygiene, etc.
