it took me a month to get over the pain. i told him i need some time off cuz its difficult for me to handle things now...
in the second week of timeoff now he texted me saying he is missing me, and has been thinking about me alot.
i dont know wat that means.....but the heartache is back.

Sometimes a person takes another person for granted. They don't always realize how much they enjoy/need the other person's company. I think your friend is realizing that. Let him wait a little longer. Don't be so fast to beckon to his every call. That should wake him up. Take a wait and see attitude. If he doesn't come around to your romantic view, he can still be a friend and you've lost nothing...you'll just be back at square one which you already are anyway. On the other hand, if you and him are sexual and he is seeing others also, you need to count him out. He could be a player.

do not ignore him coz you are hurting him & urself. He is missing you coz he is your true friend and i think you have been there for him all the time. I know whats it like to know that you are not being love by the person you love. Take it easy. You will realise that being his friend is far more better then being his lover. You will find your friend when you need him, but i believe a lover is different. Take your time to accept him again as your friend(oooh it does take a lot of time)... But miracles do happen. Wheels may turn around too.. all the Best...

well the only way you are going to know the truth is to ask him. Ask him specifically what he means when he says " I miss you." It may mean he misses your companionship, and it may mean he has begun to view you romantically. If he says he just misses your companionship...with no romantic overtures, I would continue my "time off" and ask him to respect your wishes. Situations like this are rather messy. But I would reply to him just to see where he is at currently...it certainly cannot hurt. Perhaps he needed time to think about you since you probably shocked him when you revealed your affection towards him. Keep the dialogue open for now.

Dear friend
It`s unusual someone stop their relationship with you once and then start it again
Be sure about human psychology when somebody fells in love with someone they forget all about other people and search their happiness in each other, once they understand they can`t find happiness in each other they have to break up, it`s hard for each one of them
They try desperately to fill this gap soon, and no one is better than people they knew before!

From my opinion you mustn`t be afraid he needs you and waits for your reply.
Don`t hurry ,you should take him time to think about what he had done about you.

WELL IF YOU TWO WERE BEST FRIENDS AND ALWAYS AROUND EACH OTHER, AND NOW THAT YOUR NOT, JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN'T WANT A RELATIONSHIP AND JUST WANTS TO BE FRIENDS, DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE WON'T MISS YOU. AND THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN TELL YOU WHAT TO DO, IS YOU FOLLOW WHAT YOUR HEART SAYS. IF YOU JUST WANT TO IGNORE HIM THATS UP TO YOU, BUT ARE YOU READY TO THROW AWAY THE 5 YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP AWAY. GOOD LUCK ON WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE.

Sometimes its best to remain as friends! He told you , that you will always be friends and nothing more. So please dont read anything else into it, cause you are surely to get hurt again!
If you need the time to heal then take it!

It can't hurt much more to talk to him. At least I don't think it can. Either way the pain could be there but it's better to know what he wants.

Ignore it. He doesn't want you to get over him, and that's selfish. Please don't give in to the drama, bc that's all it is.
