"THE DEVIL GLITCH" by Chris Butler/Future Fossil Music is apparently a 69-minute song that contains over 500 verses, and has been acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Records to be the "World's Longest Pop Song.
Longplayer is a 1000 year long piece of music which started to play on the 1st January 2000 and will continue to play, without repetition, until the 31st December 2999, when it will come back to the point at which it began - and begin again.
It's anyones guess really - couldn't see anything on the Guinnes World Record site.

Not the longest - but at least you won't die of boredom...Dire Straits ~ 'Telegraph Road' is 14 minutes & 15 seconds long - and importantly has LYRICS not just music.
November Rain is only 6:09...poor in comparison, but still an absolutely amazing song.

Maybe is not the longest, but Thick as a brick by Jethro Tull is about 20 minutes. Also American Pie by DonMaclean is about 10 minutes and a half. But they are so good!!

there is a Mars Volta song that technically lasts just over 32mins, its split up into 8 tracks though because the record company wasnt happy with just 5 tracks on an album

It is in fact Inna Gadda Davida (In the Garden Of Eden) by Iron Butterfly it is over 23 minutes long but edited majorly for radio.
