In the USA it depends.
Verizon>>>>BEST for service, you would get signal everywhere. It also has good phones but a little expensive. Verizon does not have sim-cards so you would need to call the customer service if you want to change your cell phone. The plans are a little expensive.
.
Cingular>>>>Has best phone options. The signal is very good but not as good as verizon. Uses sim-cards in phones, so, very easy to change your phone. It's much cheaper than verizon.
.
T-Mobile>>>>You would have a little problem to get signals in some places. The phone options are OK they have good phones. The plans are ok, not really cheap and not really expensive.
.
Sprint>>>>You know it is ok. Some customers really like it. The phone does not have sim-cards, so, sometimes a little problem to change the phone. The plans are ok, not really cheap and not really expensive.
.
Nextel>>>>Same like Sprint but the only difference is that Nextel has Walkie-Talkie.
I wish it was helpful.
