I don't think that having pictures or videos of a persons funeral is a good thing. I would prefer to remember my loved one at another time in their life. This is a practice that has been around for generations, and I still cannot understand it.

My Mom was about five years old when she was held up to her Grandmothers casket and made to kiss her Grandmother goodbye, and she was unable to attend any wakes or funerals in her lifetime without getting frightened of going near the casket. This was an everyday practice in the early twentieth century, and thank the Lord this has changed.

I recently had some relatives send me pictures of one of my uncles, who was dying from cancer; and I put them through the shredder, I just want to remember all the happy times we had together. I know that they intended this to be a positive thing for me, but I couldn't take it that way.

I have already made plans to be cremated, so nobody will be taking pictures of me once I have gone on from this world. Possibly the whole picture taking thing should be outlawed..... Have a good day.

Taking videos at a funeral is inappropriate. Would you want the last thing to see of your loved one is of them lying in the casket?
