the sad ending.
a man having to kill his Friend/ companion/ kind of brother in order to prevent (Lenny who is slow of mind) suffering in the hands of others i.e. killing for love.
With Lenny death their dream of future ( home sweet home)on their own farm dies too.
Also the different segregation's from society are all shown.
Of being of different gender, having a different mental and physical disability and race and class

That for some people, true happiness is not possible because of their very nature, in that, they don't understand the true implications of their actions;that the disabled brother had to die, for the survival of the other.

I love the book/play. The aspect of loneliness, but also friendship, blew my mind. But the movie was more enjoyable (and sad).
