i have a 4x4 truck the cattle are about 30 miles away

i agree with the first answer.. also might not hurt to bring a few candles and a coffee can just in case you get stuck and you can keep warm with them, bring lots of food and blankets also.. good luck, and be careful, i am glad i have no cattle to feed!! just tractors to maintain

1. if you do venture out, pack two of everything you might need to spend the frigid night in yer truck and MAKE sure ppl know what you are doing and that you may be stuck out there...take a dog for heat, dont run truck too much and asphyxiate sp? yourself. Fuel tank gas, borrow cellphone, hope for a signal.
2. do they have any bit of hay left...? if so, wait it ou, get out there as soon as storm passes. AND! remember not being prepared this time, so next time you get them stocked up right b4 the storm. I planned for this for this storm 2 weeks ago so I could time feeding them just in time for this storm. Was on the tractor as the first freezing rain came in.
