A Cajon is a percussion instrument originally from Peru. It has been used in Flamenco dancing in Spain. It is basically a small box with a hole in the rear panel. It is played with the hands. I am particularly interested in the materials needed to get the best sound.

I found this information for you. Please read the info on the website listed below for more information.

Half to three quarter inch thick wood was generally used for five sides of the box. A thin sheet of plywood was nailed on as the sixth side and acted as the striking surface or head. A sound hole was cut on the back side opposite the head.

The top edges were often left unattached and could be slapped against the box. A sound hole was cut in the side opposing the head or tapa. The player sat astride the box, tilting it at an angle while striking the head between his knees. The modern cajón has several screws at the top for adjusting percussive timbre and may sport rubber feet. Some versions may also have several vertically stretched cords pressed against the tapa for a buzz like effect or tone. Guitar strings, rattles or drum snares may serve this purpose. The percussionist can play the sides with the top of his palms and fingers for additional sounds. There are also tube cajón, which are played like a conga.

Someday I found a video on youtube about a percussion musical instrument called cajon, which I never heard it before, I just thought it is so easy to play, so I bought a Trendy Punchy Bass Rubber Wood Cajon from BIZARKDEAL for my son, because my son is learning music, and he is curious to any new instrument. After I bought this cajon and it really gave him a surprise. it took little time for him to learn to play it, even he taught me to play with him while he is playing his violin and piano. he is so excited to have it and loved it in short time.

The cajon is made of nature wood, with nature color. especially the front wood of the cajon has it own natural curly lines, which just looks very comfortable than some smooth wood panel. it has 4 very strong plastic foots, you just can feel any unstable when you sit on the cajon. The most important thing is its sound, absolutely high quality, just like a thousands dollar professional drum. and the impressive is you can adjust the sound very conveniently with the wrench along it.

so far did not find any defect.

It is worthy of buying and we enjoy it.
