I saw that movie "Ladder 59" and I remember seeing a scene where one of the fire fighters falls into a pit of fire or something and the flames seem to devour him. I wonder what your body goes through when you burn alive. Do you cook like a steak or something?

their skins burns ...depending on how severely they are burning.

personally..its a hard one to answer..as my mom and brother both died in a house fire...burnt to death. You suffocate first form the smoke..before the fire

abit of a morbid question sweetie..and the reference to.."do you cook like a steak"..is rather insensitive don't ya think?

The flame gradually eats away at the flesh and other flammable items(clothes, hair, etc.)until 1)only charred bones remain,or 2)the fire stops. You die long before either of these would happen.

You go into an extreme state of shock and all the vital signs shut down. You lose consciousness before you die. This is really a morbid question. Why would you want to know something like that?
