is it a good idea to talk precalc over the summer? just wondering if it's really hard or not.

If you have gotten good grades in your math courses so far, and if you really understood everything, then precalc should be a snap. If that's the case, I'd take it and get a leg up on Calculus the following year.

precalc is not bad at all.
i actually found trig to be more tedious and difficult.

although, some curricula push more or less into calc AB material. It's dependent on the teacher i guess!

It is easy. Actually nothing is hard unless we try and do it
