All you can do is give your best and most decent answer. The more people who do that, the better a place Answers will become and the less it will matter if a few people give stupid or wiseguy answers.

I live in the real world too, where there is a neat mixture of people from very polite to very rude. I must say that I do like the idea of everyone being so,so, polite to each other, but I think that after a short time it may become rather boring. We do need variety in our lives, and lets` face it,if someone is very rude to us and we do not retaliate, it does make us feel somewhat `superior` to them !

You will never get all of the people to be nice all of the time. That's just life. Some people only answer questions to help whereas others like to make a joke. Sometimes they don't mean to offend - they just like to have fun. Other people just like being rude because it makes them feel clever.
Best thing is to ignore people who are rude as they only want a reaction.

Remind ppl who ask negative questions and give flippant answers that they are part of the problem If that doesn't work, ignore them and encourage others to do so as well.

Before you criticise other PEOPLE, an understanding of grammar, and the ability to spell correctly would no doubt help your case.There is no excuse for sloppy presentation. A bit like pot calling kettle black.
