I am currently writing a novel for teens but can't think of where I should take the book. I would like it to be really sad at the end and the two main characters are madly in love. Should someone die? I don't know where to go. Please help. The setting is near San Diego, present time. The girl just moved there and now school is starting. She is a sophmore. Troy, the other protaganist, is a junior and star of the football team. Thank you! Everything helps.

how about the guy is suicidal secretly, then eventually tells the girl because theyve been so close, then he says that she's the only thing that's really going good for him, then the guy becomes soo full of himself from being suicidal that he does something wrong that somehow causes the girl's death by accident. And the whole entire time the girl was just trying to help the guy out.

Why does there have to be a sad ending? A death? A break up? Etc...
One in two marriages die.
Would be wonderful to see a couple overcome their obsticales and succeed!!!
Teens already face enough tradgedy at school and in the world; and their futures uncertain.

good lord dont you think our Teens today have enough negativity to deal with? Drugs, alcohol, Peer pressure, making the grade!!! Just to mention a few!
MAke it a happy ending, give them hope for the future and love to look forward too!
Just my opinion, good luck

I've ALWAYS wanted to read that PERFECT novel about fate! I love movies and books that use fate to bring together two young lovers that just seem destined for each other!

Make her an outcast...no one should die....but get badly injuried....And how about some sex...details{ not too much}.
Different cultural backgrounds would give it a spice...but dont make it too cliche'.
Stren parents would be hot.
Cheating...even better.
Lies...
