Choose lady if you would spare the life of the person you love most even if it means you would be loosing him to another woman.
Choose tiger if you would rather see him dead or out of your sight forever, if you can't have him.

The lady, because even if the person you love left you still love them and care for their well being and happiness. Choosing the tiger seems vindictive and cruel.

I read that story when I was in the 7th grade. I chose the lady. There is always the possibility that they could come back to you.
