Makeup can do both, hide or add to whats already there. Some people dont even need to wear makeup because they already have nice skin which may be your case. So if you dont need to wear makeup then dont, and if you do decide to start dont "over do it" go for a natural look.

well my daughter is 13 years old and I think you are going through the same thing she might be and ill tell you what I tell her and I hope it will help you out with making your decision. So ill try to explain to you what I mean the best way I can so please read everything.

I don't think young ladies should be allowed to wear make-up, Not only does it hide your natural beauty and keep you feeling young in the mind and body but It can give certain people the wrong idea about you. Like boys for instance, its kinda of like telling them in a hidden way that you are looking, and I hope you understand what I mean by that. I also feel that just because your Friends wear makeup because they are allowed to does not mean you have to follow them. Making your own choices in life is what makes you the person you truly are, and by not following friends or others makes you a leader not a follower and it also shows people that you are mature enough to take the harder road in life vs the easy road which most are taken. By not following what others do will make you a better person as you get older.
If the picture you have shown is you, I think you are a very pretty young lady who one day will grow up to be a very good looking woman who then decides you would like to wear a little make up then that would be fine. So forget about what your friends are doing and you stick with who you are. Trust me on this, those girls who are already wearing make-up are trying to grow up to quickly. Time takes it effects on us all why push the process up.

So be yourself, dont worry about what others are doing or your friends are doing and I can almost promise you that you will grow to be a much better person then most in your school.

Hope it helped you out :)

I always recommend getting a professional makeover. You can get them free all over the place. As a Mary Kay consultant, of course I recommend finding an consultant in your area to give you a complimentary, no obligation facial. She'll come to your home and show you how to use makeup to highlight your best features without looking 'made up.'

You can play with colors on our Virtual Makeover: www.marykay.com (look under 'What's New').

You may not need much to make a big difference. Try tinted moisturizer to even out your complexion, a little eye color and mascara, and perhaps a sweep of cheek color. A light tinted lip gloss polishes it off!

The most important step to a good look is caring for your skin. Be sure to cleanse, moisturize, and protect with good products.

If makeup is overdone then it'll hide your face and make you look worse. Too much makeup is a bad thing. If you know how to put makeup on correctly then you know that makeup can help enhance your best features. Natural makeup is best.

I've never hid behind makeup, though it's possible. Personally, I see it as more of an art, which can enhance certain features. If someone is wearing makeup to the point that they look like a COMPLETELY different person when they're going au natural then they're using makeup incorrectly :) Enhance and decorate your beauty, don't simulate it.

LMAO. Nah, in case your entire form were "lazy" (saggy denims, saggy shirts, no makeup, hair in ponytail or by no skill brushed) continuously, i visit work out the position a sloppy accusation should be made. yet even then, who provides a crap? that is not effecting each person else. notwithstanding the minimum quantity of makeup is a good aspect. your individuals sound very judgemental, you should examine on that. or per chance they are jealous that you're prettier than them without makeup? I dont recognize...

i dont wear makeup but my friends do also. if you put way to much makeup on its like your trying to hide how pretty you already are, but if u just use a little bit it will enhance your natural beauty. the key is to make it look natural using subtle colors like pinks, and browns.

Personally most people I know put WAY too much on.

I prefer someone who 'believes in them self' and is very mentally and emotionally secure as well.

For me, that is an easy ting to spot.... I tend to believe the more someone layers on the makeup and perfume, the more they are trying to hide from everyone.

If you wear makeup that makes you look natural than it enhances your features just dont wear alot of funky colors, natural is always better.
