cyclamen are very popular and widely available. Also Christmas cactus (zygocactus) flowers briefly through the winter and also the poinsettia
doesn't actually flower bu the bright red bracts look like flowers.

All of these from garden centres and some high street shops like M & S.

December is the darkest month of the year and not much is in flower. During December I have Jasminum Nudiflorum, Viburnam Bodnantense and Viburnam tinus. During January I have Eranthis, Galanthus, Viburnams, Jasminum, Helleborus. Some of the other valuable winter interest are the Cornus and Salix stems of red and yellow, varigated foliage of Helix, Ilex. The winter flowering Erica is also really pretty at the moment. There's a Hebe in full flower outside the office window!!

Hello John, there are many plants that flower in the UK during the winter months. This is a rough list of what I have, but I know there's lots more.

Jasmine, Hellebores, Viburnum, Vinca difformis, Schizostylis, Daphne bholua, Erysimum, Clematis cirrhosa, Winter Heathers, Coronilla valentina, Winter Aconite's, Cyclamen and Ranunculus calandrinioides.

My Rosemary is flowering at the moment too! The Schizostylis starts flowering late Autumn but they're still going strong now. I hope that helps you. Good luck, x

Perhaps re-blooming bearded iris.

Not this year but the previous two years I got blooms in December twice. Both times I had cut the flowers because it was snowing!

I live in the USA -- New England.
