To connect one controller you need to press the little white button on top of the contoller marked with a symbol similar to this ))). then press the white button on the console that is marked the same way, its just above the power button. This will cause the consolle to search for controllers and the controllers to search for the console, it takes a few seconds. Then you would do the same on the other controller, or you can press the button on both controllers and have the console search both at once.

If their wireless you shouldn't have to connect them.
