Yes. They are. It is because of many factors.
Media, older siblings, and hormones in the meat to name a few.

They are far LESS mature. Many aren't even able to move out of the house at a decent age. Young people today grew up in very easy times financially, were given many things by their parents, and are far more dependent at 18 than previous generations. It's not true of everyone of course, but you would be exactly wrong to think they are more mature because they happen to do some things at a certain age. And I don't know of any 10 year olds dating.

No, they are more informed possibly. Less mature if you ask me. Going on a date a 10 years old IS immature.

MUCH LESS. 500 years ago, 10 years olds were having kids and raising families - because they'd be dead by 20. You have all the time in the world to grow up these days - don't take it too fast.

Kids are exposed to a lot more at an earlier age. I am amazed at what parents let children watch on TV and Internet. Kids are also sexualized much earlier. This does not mean they are more mature but more at risk.

Going on dates at ten doesn't mean you're more responsible, it means you're less responsible. It would be more responsible not to go on dates until you're finished with school.
But, no, I think maturity in kids and teens has declined since the 1930s. Back then, no one talked back, everyone who had the oppirtunity studied, and no one was a chronic procrastinator.

hahahahahaha.......NO!! I find you kids today rude, disrespectful and growing up waaaaay too fast. Sadly, yes, 10 yr. olds are going on dates. My 121/2 yr. old, stepdaughter who will be 13 in March looks like she is 18, somebody in the store one time thought she was 17! I have 31/2 yr. old and 5 year old daughters and I am going to try my damndest to keep them from growing up too fast. You a kids need to slooooowww down.

That isn't maturity, it is loss of innocence and self esteem. 10 year olds going on dates is plain disgusting. How could their parents allow that behavior???

being muture does not mean going on dates, or how u look. ya 10 yr olds are looking like 13yr olds now, and they are going on dates. but muturity is really how u can deal in the real world and its consequences. u might think it is muture to have sex at 12, but how u handle the consequences is a completly differant story. but we cant generlize because some 10yr olds are more muture than 16yr olds. really it is how u look at muture.
