DNA replication produces new copies of original DNA.
Transcription is when DNA is copied into RNA.

When applied to a single strand of DNA, transcription produces C for each G; T for each A: and G for each C; A for each T. This refers tot eh triplets of base pairs.

Replication is the process where an IDENTICAL strand is reproduced by reverse transcription. e.g.
Stage 1 AAA is transcribed as TTT
Stage 2 TTT is then further transcribed and gives you AAA

In general to replicate means to reproduce to transcribe means to reproduce in a different medium. This may involve some sort of translation

replication is where you take a piece of written text and rewrite it. Transcription is where you take the spoken word and write it down.

to transcribe is to notate, transcribing a pop song you would put it in sheet music form. or you'd make a written transcription of a speech
replicate is to make a copy of.
