Xbox 360 Hardrive?

Do you need the Pro hardrive to play original xbox games or does the core work with the old ones too.

Yes you will need the hard drive to play the origianl xbox games. The backward compability is done through the emulation software and it will be store on the hard drive.

You need the hard drive in order to play XBX games that are on the backward compatibility list. Note: Not all XBX games can be played on the 360. Only about 200 or so XBX games are currently playable on the 360. Go to www.xbox.com and do a backward compatibility search to find the list.
