Yes, you can - so long as the place you're buying it accepts credit cards. As far as the max amount, it depends on where you buy the money order. The credit card company would determine whether or not the purchase would be counted as cash advance or not.

yes you might be able to use a credit card to buy a money order
but it will look very spurious to some sellers of Money orders
like you can not buy a Money order with a credit card at the Post office,
but you can do so with a debit card (you have enter in your PIN code) lots of stores just will not sell you a money order with credit card or even a debit card thats the deal with Albertsons
since they deal with Money gram who are real issuers of the money order,,.they only accpect Cash.
you could however get a cash advance (from your bank) then get a money order or check from the bank(very expenisve way to go
