2-3 T of baking soda down the drain followed by 3/4 c hot white vinegar. VInegar takes way less tiem to boil in the microwave than water.
As you pour down the drain DO NOT stand right over it because the reaction between the two is violent and will erupt upwards. Non-toxic. Vinegar does most of the work but the reaction with the baking soda bubbles gunk off. After bubbling subsides ~3-5 minutes run some hot water to rinse gunk through.
Good luck

Ditto the baking soda and vinegar trick already mentioned. I read that on a housecleaning fact sheet. But I would also follow with a gallon of really hot water at the end. That works for stopped up drains as well.

Put Baking Soda and vinegar down your drain and let it sit for a while. Then flush hot water down the drain. Do it repeatedly until the drain doesn't smell.

The restoration is easy- pour water into the drain. there is maximum relatively a p-seize linked to this drain, however the water has in all danger evaporated. while there is water interior the p-seize it prevents gases from emanating from the sewer equipment into your laundry room. New plumbing codes require a gadget talked approximately as a "seize primer" that leaks small quantities of water into drains on an ongoing foundation to ward off scent from wafting into your abode. The p-seize is meant to hold water, you will would desire to pour approximately sixteen oz..of water into it each as quickly as and a at a similar time as to ward off the scent from stepping into your abode.

Pour a cup of bleach down them and let it sit for an hour, then run water. Smells are usually caused by bacteria and that will kill them.
