Okay, let me just clarity . . . hospitals do not hire unlicensed, uninsured nurses . . . they DO hire unlicensed assisted personnel which are on the level of nurses aids (CNAs). There is a huge difference between an RN, LVN, CNA, and nurses assistant.
The hospital carries insurance for their nurses, and many nurses carry their own malpractice insurance just in case they made a "boo-boo" and the hospital decides to bail out on them.
As far as the unlicensed personnel, yes, the hospital is liable if you can prove that there was a knowingly intent to do harm.

Yes. They are! Can you prove it? Get a good lawyer.

They are totally responsible for that even if nothing happens.

Especially if they are useing uniforms or name tags misrepresenting themselves to the public! The public has a right to know this.

Did you know there are hospitals people use all the time that are not accredited hospitals?

Get on the web, you can find a site telling you if this hospital is one of them or not. It is the responsibility of the public to check out the hospital they are using, but alot of people don't know this.

It pays to be an educated consumer and to know you're rights, to protect yourself and others.

I would start with a lawyer, to maximize what you can get for you.
If I was a patient there, I would not say anything to anyone and I would get out!

There won't be money in it, unless something happened to you. In all probability.

There are government watchdog groups that pay people who report this kind of stuff.

But be very careful.
