They always say 'Homer J Simpson'. Is it Jay? Or does it stand for something? Or do we not know?

Homer Simpson's middle name is "Jay" i remember in one episode where he was finding his hippie routes, he had always know it to be just J. Not know what "J." stood for. But when he saw a painting of himself as a child in mural form, it said his name on the bottom, "Homer Jay Simpson. i hope this answer's your question

There's an episode about it.

He just knew it was "J." and then he found old friends (intimate friends) of his mother and found out that the "J." stood for "Jay"

yeah, it's Jay. he knew his initial was J., so in one episode he went on this journey to find it out, and it was just Jay.
