Thats not a very realistic view. Do you think the commanders on the ground in Iraq would allow our troops to be imbedded with the Iraqi's if they thought this would happen? I don't think so.

Impartiality by police is what is needed. Unfortunately, what occurred in Iraq is groups of police units with agendas. The US police have effectively eliminated almost any Police discretion, which used to be 80% of the Law, by doubling up officers and having Internal Affairs Officers for suspicious behavior to be reported to! This has made officers basically "Robots"!
Now, most officers worry more about their partners than they do the criminals, but corruption is very rare!
Think of our guys being embedded as the Infernal Affairs!

No the answer lies within the statement - Our troops are not police officers they are warriors. Does the word POLICE ACTION mean anything to anyone. I refresh the memories VIETNAM. If our military soldiers are going to be policemen thing bring them home right fing now. If they are going to be warriors then let them be warriors - this tap dancing has gone on long enough.

"Bush says"... well I wouldn't put much faith in anything Bush says... he is a talking head. Someone else will decide what really happens... but you can bet none of it is good.. it is only going to result in 3000 more American deaths.. Wonder if that will meet Bush's quota?

Hopefully not.....With the insurgency and Iraqs primitive nature....Background check are not as efficient as here. Hopefully the % of insurgents will be outweighed by the true and loyal Police & Army

I don't think so. Wouldn't they want to make it safe for their families and people? So, many have already died.
