I am a white female and I do NOT judge people based on the color of their skin. Just yesterday a white male stole $100 from me that I got back from a scholarship at school, and I really needed that money. I know that the stereotype is that black men steal things, but that is not always the case. I have a black friend who has never taken anything from me but what I have offered to him. The pendulum swings both ways. I am a strong supporter of what MLK was fighting for: equal rights for EVERYONE. The problems in this country are not race-oriented as many people arrogantly believe, it is a socio-economic problem. Poor people steal things because they cannot afford to buy the things they need. Now I know not all poor people steal, but some do. I am not discriminating against poor people as I am poor myself. This internet connection is being stolen from a coffeshop down the street which has free wireless. My aunt is going to be in jail for the next two years because of theft, and luckily, I haven't been caught as of yet doing the same.

So I guess my answer to your question is no, I will not judge your children by the color of their skin, but I will judge them by the content of their character. It doesn't matter if you are white, black, hispanic, asian, or any other ethnicity if you are of poor character, you are not worth my time.

I was very upset to find that the University I am currently attending does not cancel classes on MLK day because he should be respected and remembered just as all of the other great leaders of this country are admired.

Of course. I try not to judge others, but if it ever happens it has nothing to do with race, religion, or gender. I always go by the persons character. There are good and bad people all over the world and it has nothing to do with the color of their skin.

I don't understand how anyone can judge anyone else based on the color of their skin.

I judge all people based on their character. That's more important than anything else. I have come to know interesting people thanks to my ability to look past the flesh.
