I am trying to figure out a way to remove my parents nationality description from my birth certificate, Im border line white skinned and can almost pass as a normal person. I would however like to eradicate my Mexican origin on paper since I would like to get married and have kids someday preferably to a white woman so my kids dont look so Mexican and like i mentioned, If i can have this mexicanism removed from my birth certificate i can spare my children the dreadfulness and embarassment of being of Mexican descent. Does anyone know how i can wipe that off my birth certificate? I know that in the 60's any one who wasnt considered black was recorded as caucassion, but unfortunately for me i wasnt born around that time. Anyone have any suggestions?

I dont want to be Mexican anymore because that culture in not innovative and so filthy. I just dont want anything to have to do with it anymore seriously. We all know that if youre white there are better opportunities, c'mon people who are you kidding?

I don't blame you one bit. Nobody has to see your birth certificate and on very few occasions would you need to show it to anybody . You could get the same treatments that Michael Jackson did. Then nobody would know the difference. You would probably need to change your name also.

I can't believe that you would even consider that. That is just very sad.All those things that you are saying about your race apply to u 2.You are not an exception you are just as much apart of that race as any other Mexican. You should be proud to be Mexican. You should be out there letting people, who have these negative stereotypes of Mexicans, know that the stereotypes aren't true.My last thing is, is that if God wanted you to be white he would have made you white, but he didn't so learn to deal with it.Try to remember that everything happens for a reason and you were born Mexican for a reason.

You are really really sad. Mexicans have a wonderful history to be proud of. Mexicans are decendants of the Mayan who were much more advanced in Mathamatics than almost any other culture. Mexicans are people with deep history of family values. White people, during the era of Manifest Destiny are the ones that are responsible for the negative impressions people have about Mexicans. Cesar Chavez led the way to improving the civil rights for people in the southwest. My advice to you is to visit the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, NM and learn about the accomplisments of Mexicans. You are really a pathetic person

Well, it is sad to hear you say you're not proud of your descent but then again, everyone is different.

And just for the record, even if you do marry a white woman, there is definitely no guarantee that your kids will be white (even though you are) because skin colour is in your genes and maybe your generation is white but your kids could be brown and very very Mexican. Take your grade 8 Biology textbook and look up genes.

That's really sad. I think you should be happy with who you are, you have a beautiful and friendly culture. Mexicans are "normal" people too. I live in a majority hispanic city and I think it's so sad when I see people like you who are embarrased to be of Mexican descent. All that was in your past has made you what you are today, be thankful. BTW- my husband's family is from Mexico and his "opportunity" in life has been just fine. And he's totally hot.

You're stereotyping your own race. People up here really don't know what mexicans are really like. The one's we see are the mexicans equivalent to Red-necks from Oklahoma. You should live in Mexico and see how people are really like. And Guess what? There's a lot of people who are lighter than you down there. Check yourself!! Get an education!! Learn about the World!!!

Why would you internalize society's bias against Mexicans and hate yourself so much? Why would you force that hatred onto your kids by denying them their heritage?

Changing you nationality and ethinicity on paper *is not* going to change the blood flowing through your vains. That birth certificate can say for 100 years you're white, but you'll still be Mexican. Accept who you are.

Embrace your ethnicity. Those who have made you feel as though you are less than human because you are mexican are losers, They are the ones who should be ashamed, not you.

I am half Mexican, half caucasian and proud of it. I am tan without having to go tanning and get skin cancer, I have dark, shiny hair and good skin that won't wrinkle as fast as white peoples skin.. I love having my exotic look. I would NEVER change who I am because I don't measure up to somebody else. Those people don't deserve to be a part of my life or cause me any grief. You are what you are- you can't change that- no matter how hard you try. Look at how that worked out for Michael Jackson.

I am at a loss for words, how very sad that you do not honor your ancestors, parents, grandparents, your culture, your ethnic group.
There are good and bad people of all race, creed, and color. There are very educated and intelligent people of Mexican descent.
There are also wonderful, honest, hardworking, kind, loving, Mexican people that are educated, and some are not, it really does not make a difference what their socio-economic status is. What matters is the inner person, the heart and soul of an individual.

I hope that one day, you can love yourself and your family.
