No!!!! Of course not! And there are quite a few reasons for this:

First, this is actually a very good sign that the child in you still is not dead. And this is a good thing, because although you need to be mature and stuff, it helps to be able to think like a child. I believe those who can do this are the ones who are most creative and daring. There actually is a quote from Picasso where he says he could paint like Raphael at 15 but it took him a lifetime to learn how to draw like a child.

Second, who do you think makes these cartoons? Five year olds? Come on now, cartoons are produced by adults who can think out of the box and have a good sense of humor and I am sure they appreciate people who appreciate their work. Take Walt Disney, do you really think it was only children who liked him at first? Could he ever be so famous and successful with support from children only?

Third, cartoons can let you get away from the world for a while and let you take a good deep breath. Good entertainment, why not?

Fourth, if people tell you its childish and stupid, do not believe them. Take Spiderman and Batman and Superman and others, well, I know they're not cartoons but who could argue that they are completely different? They are just as "stupid" as Mickey Mouse, maybe even more, as they include violence. Also keep in mind that many modern cartoons contain some adult humor, not meaning related to sex here, but things that children cannot necessarily understand. Check out Toy Story for example.

Go on and watch your cartoons, honor student. And if people tell you they are unbearably childish or unreasonable, or if you doubt it yourself, just keep in mind that they are far less reasonable than the condition of the real world as of today.

No, there is nothing wrong with watching cartoons. Now yes, many cartoons are aimed towards children but that dosen't mean that you can't watch them. If that were the case, parents shouldn't watch the cartoons with their children or go to the movies with them to see the animated movies. It's just a steriotypical view that the west has about animated films/shows that it's only for children and tend to look down or raise an eye brow to those older that like it. But really, honor student or not, there's nothing wrong with it, that just means you are a smart young man that has a more open mind then some people and enjoys animated art. I personally am 23 and I love anime (japanese cartoons) and I know i'm not the only person out there that isnt child age that loves anime as well.
So really, it's fine to enjoy whatever you like, as long as it isn't bad, and cartoons arent.

I'm 45 and my favorite cartoons are Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents, Jimmy Neutron, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Justice League, and more.

Is there a reason an honor student can't watch cartoons? It's one of the greatest entertainment media's of all time. If it wasn't for CGI, Toys, Toys 2, Finding Nemo, and all the other of their kind would be a cartoon.

So enjoy your cartoons and congrats on being an Honor Student!!

Like what the other people said about being distracted from doing other things is the only time I would say watching cartoons at any age would be bad. I remember my grandfather laughing just as hard as me when I was watching cartoons when I was a kid.
I'm not afraid to say I watch cartoons because they are fun and enjoyable to watch, keeps your inner child healthy. Besides if anyone ever says "you still watched cartoons", just reply "No, they are called animated series now".
Its not really any worse for those who enjoy the "Soaps" or any other particular tv genre.

Actually cartoons main reason of creation was to get.Is to make us laugh at what actions their doing and making us wonder what their.Going to next in the scene or episode that is going to be.Really cool or funny to see,but in which terms makes us "can't resist" watching.More of it or watching more cartoons. But the answer in my opinion is No its not.Bad for people 18 or over to watch cartoons unless you try to do some of the immature.Things they do in the cartoon then watching cartoons is bad for u.But the thing about it is some people. Want to stay with their inner child-side just to get away from things. In the world that bothers them, but hey i watch cartoons and some. Of my friends who r like 19-40 years old and some of my friends who .Are honor students in high school and in college dont really see nothing wrong with cartoons.

Only if watching them distracts you from other activity.
Just don't be a COUCH POTATO.
Other than that, watch any and every cartoon that you want to and enjoy watching.
How about a followup question such as;
If you like and watch cartoons, which one(s) do you watch and like?
No doubt in my mind ALL that answer will have a fairly LONG LIST. :-)

There is nothing wrong with that at all. I am 33 and still watch cartoons as two of my faves are Spongebob Squarepants and Teen Titans. Don't worry about it. You are still considered cool to watch cartoons! :)
