I think you are wasting the losing Realtors' time and short changing yourself. For better or worse, it becomes a relationship between you and your agent to find a property that best suits your needs. Since you are probably worried about working with more than one (hey, you asked the question right?), then it is doubtful that you are able to trust that agent to do their job.

Why more than one? Are they really providing you with more options? I typically don't represent Buyer's but when I do, I won't work with them unless it is exclusive. From the agent's perspective, why would they be giving you 100% of their attention if they feel you won't be able to commit?

Maybe fire them all and find yourself someone who you are comfortable working with exclusively.

That is a good thing,and you should work with four of five. The reason why is there is not just one place to find what is for sale. They give the impression that there is one MLS yet there are many and they do not cross list, nor have new homes , forecloses.

What this has done is given many buyers in the past a impression that there is a shortage and thus drove up prices. This is how they made the housing bubble by with holding what is for sale and making misinformation" that is a nice word for fraud".

are you buying or selling? If selling, you could end up paying more of a commission, because they usually have exclusive contracts. If buying nothing happens expect you screw over one of the realtors, unless they both present the same place at the same time, in which case you pay double commissions. Better to use just one, unless you like getting screwed.

They'll both want a certain percentage of the deal, and therefore, you'll pay more. You're not getting gouged; That's just how it works.

That is OK,plenty of people do that, it is perfectly legal.

then you will end up screwing one of them. you might even get sued. cut one of them loose now.
