Let's see.

So, she spent 22.5% on food and 17.3% on entertainment.

If she spent $14,000, then lets find out what is 22.5% of $14,000. The answer is $3150.

Then find 17.3% of $14,000 . The answer is $2422.

To find the answer... you will have to add them. The answer is 3150+2422= 5572

So, Sarah spent $5572 on food and entertainment last year.

Hope I helped!

Total % of money spent = 22.5 + 17.3

100 % = $14,000

So 1 % = 14,000/100

Therefore 39.8 % = 14,000/100 x 39.8

= $5572

Multiply $14,000 by 22.5% (or 0.225) and by 17.3% (or 0.173) and add the results.
