I just wanted to know why this atrocious discrimination is not in the mainstream history books.

Yes I new...there were also separate schools....but the reasons behind "operation wet back" was to open up agricultural jobs to Americans displaced during the dust bowl era.
Though some were illegally deported...the vast majority were on work visas.....there were no border controls at that time.

I was not aware of that, but I am not surprised. Discrimination was rampant in those days, and the Depression had put so many people out of work that deporting the defenseless was a politically popular thing to do. If by "history books" you mean school textbooks, there is a great deal of our history left out of them if it's the least bit controversial. You have to go to college to learn more about what really happened, or research it yourself in libraries and by asking people who were alive in the period you're interested in.
