David's is a full-service bridal store. They have great deals on their dresses. But some people think, "Well, since they dresses are cheap, everything else must be, so I'm going to get everything here." And they don't do their research like you've done, and they get ripped off on other items.
It's a fairly common business practice to draw people in with good prices on one deal, but high prices on others. Restaurants do it all the time with cheap food, but crazy expensive alcohol. It's not because these businesses are evil, but they know that some people aren't shrewd shoppers like they should be. And if a business can make more money from not-so-smart shoppers, why shouldn't they?

Me and my friends that got married this year are disgusted by the price gouging that takes place at David's Bridal. It's not just the tiaras. But it's true, after a friend's wedding we found the same Swarovski crystal tiaras for more than a $150 less!!! at another bridal boutique. All I can say is buyer beware. Don't get swindled by David's Bridal!

Because they're a chain store and think they can get away with it because people will come in to buy their dress and think that it's easiest to just get a tiara while they're there no matter how expensive it is. Your best bet is to buy one online. I got a great one for less than $30.

I don't know but I saw some tiaras at Michael's Craft Store in the wedding department and they were pretty cheap. (Cheaper than $50.)

Because they can. Why do you care anyway were you stupid enough to buy it there instead of looking around? Why does K-mart sell backpacks for 20 dollars while wal-mart sells them for 10 because people will still buy them.

bcause it is a name brand, and they know ppl will buy it instead of a place like target, even if target is cheaper, cuz ever1 wants namebrand stuff
