i really wanna participate at Gay Fest 2007 but there are some safety issues and this is the part where i need advice.
last year 6 ppl were severely beaten in the subway by some homophobes
eh... i'm scared. i know i know, it sounds silly but a neo nazi leader claimed 2 throw grenades bla bla and i really don't wanna get hurt
there were similar incidents in Russia... so what should i do ?

All I can say is this;
If everyone who is gay or gay supporting, all the sponsors and all the competitors, exhibitors and alike made the choice not to attend out of fear of a few threats then there would not be a Gay Fest 2007.
The people who threaten are breaking the law with their threats and yes they may do something and no they may not but to let some wackos intimidate and shut down everyone is just giving into their scare tactics and control.
Nothing on this earth is won or enjoyed without some risk, you could be shopping at the mall and have some wacko job do the same thing now a days. This is not just a gay thing look at the Olympics..........but to stand up in the face of fear and be supportive and show these wackos we aren't going to be intimidated is taking a stance and fighting for what is right and true.

um... well the whole gay fest thing is pretty gross in itself, dont expect to go and be ok. i would advise you not to go at all, and to look at you rlife a little bit. why would you want to go?
