One of my coworkers was telling me that he was really happy that he had all females and that he got them (all three) out of the house before they were 21. Even though only one is still sucessfully married, they still they are all on thier own (the other two divorcees are living with their boyfriends). He said he was doing way better than his brother who has two adult sons in their thirties living in the basement. His theory (which I find a bit old fashioned and suspect) is that girls have an easier time finding a mate and getting taken care of by someone else. He said that if a boy is passive or not too motivated that no woman would want them, whereas a woman just has to "put out" (in his words). I wasn't really comfortable with what he said, but what do you think? Is easier to get girls out of the house ???

I would say that in the past it was easier to get females out of the house than it is now, because women aren't getting married as young as they used to.

And overall, I say he is incorrect. Sons tend to be more aggressive and want to be their own bosses. They tend to want to be a man, take the lead, and make their own rules, rather than submit to the rules of their parents, once they are grown. Whereas, daughters tend to be more submissive, but of course not all. This is a generality.

Though, of course, the bottom line is that each child is an individual with their own particular traits. Also, the rearing of the child and the help given them to become independent plays a major role.

They'll definitely move out earlier when their dad is a jerk as it sounds like this guy is. Sounds like maybe two of the girls married jerks like their father which explains their divorces. No girls don't "put out" to get out of the house. That's an idiot attitude. It obvious the guys in their thirties still living in their parent's basements are losers.

I think that it all depends on how they were brought up. I am a female and I still live with my parents, and my older brother has already moved out. and we are both grown.
