You come in to do a simple shipping sometimes or ask something and they make it 10 times harder than it should be!

The ones in my small town aren't bad, just a bit bossy, I guess. But that's preferable to the ones in the next (slightly larger) town who are total idiots sometimes. Not to mention you have to wait in line because the @*%^&@^!%^!@ stamp machine is out of stamps or doesn't work. What a PITA.

OK, how do I *really* feel??? LOL

But seriously, I think they do have a notoriously bad reputation for rudeness.

Anywhere you go in the world you will be able to find nice people and cranky people. If your local clerks aren't doing it for you then I'd get a Customer Connect account, use the APC (Automatic Postal Center) or use stamps.com. You can't force people to be nice but at least you have options when mailing your packages. BTW I try to be as nice as possible to my customers, but then I'm a Letter Carrier.

The branch I go to is actually pretty competent.

It's my mail man who is the idiot. I get other people's mail, my mail goes into the wrong box, and he never takes the outgoing mail. The toll free complaint number is useless.

I believe rudeness is a primary trait they are looking for when hiring...I get treated better by gas station attendents and fast food workers who have every reason to act out!
