Call city hall if it is a professional fire department (they are paid to be there) or call the Chief during business hours for both paid and volunteer. Most depts follow normal practice of raising and lowering the flag it might have been a oversight

It's not enforceable by law, but you can make a complaint to the Dept. of Public Safety of the Mayor's Office (or equivalent) about the lack of civic respect for the President.

You mean "half mast." Anyway, maybe they don't know. Have you told them about it? If they are refusing, then maybe a letter to the chief or the local newspaper might help. They shouldn't be playing politics.

Nothing. It's a local decision.
By the way, the term is "half mast" not "half mass". Half mass is cutting out of church early.

They aren't required to by law. The presidential directive only applies to federal facilities. I would petition the mayor.

Ask them why. If they don't know about the 30 day thing, tell them. If they are choosing not to, you certainly have a right to voice your disagreement, but you can't do anything about it otherwise.

Complain to city hall and end up looking like an idiot when you find that the 'firehouse' was condemned 12 years ago.
