hi it depends, but as a rule it works 80% of the time to make you ovulate and i think it was 40 - 60 % success rates having a baby out of taking it.
if it doesnt work you could be resisitant to it and the dr might suggest a few months on injections instead
good luck x
p.s don't listen to scare mongers lol x

I took it for 6 months with no luck!!!!
Flushed it down the loo in totall fustration & concieved naturally 2 months later.
It doesn't work for 100% of people, but try it you may be lucky
NEVER give up though it took me 7 yrs to fall for my second child!
Good Luck, I hope it all works out well for you!

My friends doctor put her on it, after her and her hubby had been trying for 4 years to get pregnant, that was last year. Tonight she is in hospital having her baby. So i would think that it works!

No!!! It gives you more problems than you started with with all the side effects and breakthrough bleeding!!!
I know one woman who had 7 babies at once because of it! And then another who had healthy children twice.
I would try natural herbal methods 1st: vitex and milk thistle. They worked for most people I know.
The herbs normalize the hormones rather than putting a bandaid on it like CLOMID!

IN most cases it does work.. they will monitor you if it does not they will attempt to initially increase the dose or place you on something stronger ...like the injectable like Gonal

It works for some people, not all. Your GP should have told you what the expected conception rate is.
