anyone know who to get finger nail polist off clothes.. my bf daughter just got some on her clothes.. he oldest girl had the polish open and the 6 year old grab it and it poured on her sweat pants.. we have to take her home today and her mom will freak...

-Sponge with polish remover or banana oil. Wash. If stain remains, sponge with denatured alcohol to which a few drops of ammonia have been added. Wash again. Do not use polish remover on acetate or triacetate fabrics.

-sponge over the stain with pure acetone, available at beauty-supply shops and drugstores. Then launder the shirt as you normally would. Never use acetone on fabrics that contain triacetate or acetate (check care labels), because it can dissolve the cloth. For those, use amyl acetate, available at drugstores.

-Apply nail polish remover (acetone)
Blot
Mix one teaspoon of a mild pH balanced detergent (a mild non alkaline non bleaching detergent) with a cup of lukewarm water
Blot
Sponge with clean water
Blot
