I think the main reason Iraq has been a stalemate for so long is because of all the restrictions on the soldiers. The American soldier is trained to fight, to win, which is why we were so successful in taking Baghdad...the troops swarmed in, did their job, and did it quickly. Politics have been mixed so thoroghly in this campaign that we have lost sight of what we are supposed to be accomplishing, and politics have no place in war. If the soldiers are allowed to fight the way they were trained, I think this could be a turning point in Iraq...it seems like the old Bush is back-when he sticks to his guns, and ignores the criticism in Congress, things get done. I hope this is the beginning of the end.

No it will not work all he is doing is creating more cannon fodder. The only way he is going to have any success in Iraq is to withdraw our troops and let the Iraqis run their own country without interference from the U.S. government

Way too little and way too late.
To have any meaningful impact we'll need to DOUBLE the number of boots on the ground and commit for a 20 - 50 year stay. If we're not up to that -- and there's little question that we're not -- just bring the troops home.

When has anything he thought of worked? The man is a failure, as a son, as a father (leaving a polluted planet for his children... how stupid IS he, really??), as a president, as an enterpreneur, as human being, as a biological organism...

what exactly is the realistic goal of the dumb dubyass,,,I think his vision is going to get more death and hate for all ,,,,,I will grant bush the right to remove all our troops now and ask god to forgive him for all the mess he has caused...he has a right to repent,,,but not a right to get more killed for his visions ,,,,,possibly from hell...as many agree ,,,bush started the war ON HIS OWN,,,,let him now do the right thing before he makes it worse and more dead...than alive .cheers civilian

Dubya is a dumb@$$. There's no way his "new" strategy will work. I want to give him my sympathy for him being stupid.
