Baoqi, it is not wise to believe what other people say all the time. And (They) all don't say Jesus was born on the 25th. Doing so is like the story of Lemmings following each other into the ocean to drown. Within the bible it says that during the time Jesus was born shepards were keeping watch of their flocks grazing by night. This would have to been during March through May because in December sheep were inside because of the cold and were never allowed to be out at night due to the freezing temperatures. This simple fact was presented on the Discovery channel.

Because December 25 coincides with the winter solstice and back when Christianity was new they needed to incorporate the Pagans and their holidays. It is the same with Easter which also incorporates the pagan holiday of the spring solstice and uses the bunny and the egg for fertility.

December 25th was a ritualistic pagan day of feast and orgies. The Catholic Church established "Christmas" on that day to deter new Christians from worshiping false idols.

It was a way for the Roman Catholic Church to entice pagans who were celebrating the winter solstice into their new religion.
