It's like everything else. It has it's good points and it has it's bad points. Do you think tv is good or bad? There is some pretty mindless stuff on it, but there is also some good programming. It depends on your tastes. MySpace is an excellent tool for connecting with friends and promoting yourself especially if your an artist or a musician. It can be a dangerous place for unsupervised minors. My son has been on MySpace for years and has never had any major problems other then one obsessed girl that kept calling him. He learned not to give out his number to people he doesn't know. So, just use common sense and you should be fine.

MySpace is OK. It has some issues, but you could say that about almost anything on the internet. Many people claim that MySpace is horrible because it is a place where pedophiles hang out looking for young kids, but so is any chat room. Most of the problems with MySpace relate to the teens that want to ACT like adults; so they post ALL of their personal information. Most of the "problems" with MySpace are that many parents DO NOT monitor what their kids do on it.

good. It lets me keep in touch with friends, especially those far away, and it lets me listen to bands that are not well-known but thave music accounts on myspace. If people are so worried about getting raped because of myspace, either A) don't talk to people you don't know B) don't put things like your town or school or phone number on myspace C) Don't meet with people that you meet through myspace, and didn't know previously or D) set your profile to personal so only those you accept can even see it. Myspace is a good thing and some idiots are trying to ruin it for everyone else.

It depends on how it's used. Anything online (including webpages) can be bad. If you just put everything out there and get negative responses, you pretty much asked for it. If you go out of your way and act like a jerk and seek out people to show big a fool you can be and don't like what happens, again you asked for it. If you act like a normal decent person who just wants to make friends and stuff like that, MySpace can be cool. There are going to be the before mentioned jerks you may encounter, but they're everywhere including offline. Online just makes them feel they can hide. Turn these people in so they see their IP adress is logged and that where they live is known.

I'm glad MySpace makes it really easy to keep in touch with people... but still, it's really stupid. I remember signing up and thinking "this will never catch on." Famous last words.

It's harming social interaction in real life. People don't write their profiles to depict who they really are, and even in the rare occasion that they do, they totally whore themselves out and add 54765037558354 people they don't even know. And THAT'S when bad things happen to them. There's a right and wrong way to use everything.

Very good way to keep in contact with anyone that you know. Also a great way to find people that you knew when you were younger. All-around good site. Yes there are problems with children and kidnapping and rapes but that is going to happen with any website. Hell you don't even have to have the internet to do that. We cannot control that by closing down and stopping websites from doing specific things.

it can be both. it can be good because you can put yourself online and you can talk to your friends that also have a mysoace and view their blogs and other cool stuff like that. it can also be bad becaouse if you put too much info onto your myspace like your name and where you live some pervert or worse can find out that info, track you down, find you and who knows what else

IT IS GOOD! as long as you have your profile on private and a thing so only people that know your email or last name can add you youre safe ITS NOT MYSPACE'S FAULT SOME PEOPLE ARE STUPID AND TALKED TO PEOPLE THEY DONT KNOW. I found my best friend from kindergarten that moved away in 4th grade on there i could never hate that site never ever. Yeah theres pettyfiles but you can BLOCK them.

seriously it all depends on how you use it.
its bad if your a girl that whores herself and lies about her age gives out her adress and what not. but its good when you keep it appropiate and have contacts with your riend and like to just enjoy everyone of your friends and not. plus is a huge bonus for bands cuz they can get really big on myspace
